Hi readers. I figured I’d give posting from my cell a shot with a quick review. I just saw Brooklyn, which was highly recommended by a friend.
I quite liked it. The very subtle, yet beautiful camera work reminded me a bit of Manhattan, but this time with the characters in the foreground.
I was slightly annoyed with the main character at times. You know and understand her struggle, but she makes it difficult to root for her. Also the ending feels a bit of a cop out. She has to have the conversation with him, or rather, she should. Does she hold onto the information? Does she tell him? Then what? Up in the air. I’d like to read the book to see if the unsure feeling was purposefully done.
