Have you ever looked for something, be it a CD or DVD, that is so impossible to find that it becomes almost a sort of joke? For months, I had looked for a proper Blade Runner set. I originally wanted a Blu-Ray set until I realized that unless I was willing to put out a ton of money it was not going to happen. So, I would have settled for a full DVD set. No such luck. I actually was in a few stores where they didn’t know the movie existed. Really? Never even heard of it? Not too long ago I had partially given up. The only searching that remained was a sideways glance in the A-C area at any store I entered. And then it happened…
30th Anniversary Edition! When you read that, angelic music should be playing in your head. Little naked cherubs should be floating around, the very dirt (or carpet I have no idea where you are standing… Wait are you standing? Ok fine, your chair then.). The very chair beneath your feet should shake!! I was not prepared for this epic-ness but I sure as hell was going to get it. Now, we all know and love the movie (you better) and remember how great the acting was, so I just want to express how absolutely gorgeous the Blu-Ray turned out. The clarity and crispness was astounding, how vivid the colors were, shocking. In certain scenes I could have sworn that it was just made, and not from 1982, I had to check my mouth because I could have sworn I was drooling. Buy this now! Buy it forget reading the rest… ok read the rest, but buy it after! Do you think this is a short review? That is because perfection doesn’t require a damned review! A+!!!!
Besides a few shows, Arrow, The Voice, Animal Hospital, The New Normal, I have decided to refocus on reading. I recently purchased Cosmos and A Brief History Of Time. I decided to read the latter and so far I am really impressed. This isn’t my first physics book but it is certainly one of the most engaging and definitely the easiest to read. After those two books, I have decided to continue re-reading my favorite book series.
When I was younger, I was heavily into pro-wrestling and sports. I still am of course, but there were certain books that just never were within those interests. To say I didn’t read would be a mistake. I actually prided myself on the amount of reading I could accomplish within a short period of time. It actually got quite expensive so I forced myself to slow down. After all, my mother was far from being made of money. So a deservingly popular book series passed me by, even after it was made into a movie it just never caught on with me. Fast forward to a year ago, and I decided to give the movie a shot and I was completely blown away. The books were even better. I devoured them at blistering speed and ended up seeing the final movie twice. Not since I was a child had I watched a movie in theatres two times, and within a week of each other. Of course I am talking about Harry Potter. Just recently, I had decided to read one of the books then watch the respective movie and take the series one by one. I stopped at the first one because of my desire to read new books but I want to finish the series. It was a good idea and I did enjoy the experience. Just as a side note, if you have not given this series a chance please do. I know it is a young adult series but the writing is amazing and the world building is some of the best I have read or seen in my entire life. I promise you will not regret it.
Thank you for visiting and even if it inconveniences you, remember to read. It is so important to read. It is not just a good form of entertainment or knowledge, it is also great for building your vocabulary and ease of speech. Take care.
